We are now looking for a Web User Interface developer to join our team to develop and maintain highly visible federal government web sites. The selected candidate will support multi-year federal government projects developing user-facing applications using front-end technologies based on wireframes, design documents and functional specifications. Due to federal government requirements for this role, candidates must be able to successfully pass a security background check for a Public Trust position.
The contract professional will perform the following tasks:
– Review and analyze functional requirements, use cases, and business rules to develop user interface designs and implementation
– Write design documentation and user interface specifications for delivery to the government
– Communicate user interface flows and user experience to non-technical end users
– Work with back-end developers and database developers to integrate components of system
– Support independent testers in resolving defects found in system and user acceptance testing
– Create mockups, wireframes, and layouts that promote ease of use and optimize how users interact with new features
Required skills and experience:
– BS in Computer Science or other related technical fields
– 3-5 years related experience
– Strong understanding of web development technologies and frameworks, including Angular 2+
– Ionic mobile application framework
– Cordova mobile application framework
– Amazon Web Services
– WebKit
Also desirable:
– C#
– iPhone development experience
– Android development experience
– Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks (including Jquery)
– Knowledge and experience of responsive web design
– Familiar with change management, defect management and release management process
– Experience as part of an Agile team
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Understanding of CMMI process areas and process requirements related to product development is a plus
